Natalie Kennedy has come a long way since she embarked on her event planning career 20 years ago. What began in the ‘90s with ride-and-drive media launches for auto manufacturers has long since blossomed into leading her own respected brand, Kennedy Creative Events, and she’ s now known throughout the country as a premier event planner and destination management expert. Celebrating 18 years of business this past summer and earning recent coverage in media outlets like Brit + Co, TRIBEZA and the Austin Business Journal, Natalie and her team have brought on a record amount of new business in the past year, stretching and growing to reach the next level as their endeavors continuously create a buzz not just in Austin, but far beyond.
Last year, the brand expanded into its new 15,000 square foot space complete with a spacious warehouse and showroom for its gorgeous Kennedy Collection, an array of classic and modern furnishings available for rental or purchase. The Kennedy Collection is one of the company’s more recent endeavors, elevating the brand from a large boutique event planner to a full-tilt powerhouse, now offering in-house rentals to go along with its full-fledged event planning and production services. A fitness fanatic, sailing enthusiast, and world traveler, Natalie has never met a challenge she couldn’ t summit. She and her husband are parents to two boys and one adorable dog, and in addition to running her company, she’ s served for years on industry committees and nonprofit boards that are close to her heart. From concept to completion, the ever-expanding Kennedy Creative Events team works with Fortune 50 companies, startups and individuals alike to plan and produce company parties, corporate retreats, professional conferences, gala celebrations, black tie fundraisers and more. The Austin-based event management company also houses Kennedy DMC, a destination management company that serves national and global clients hosting special events in the destinations of their choice. The brand’ s ultimate goal, says its founder, is for attendees to walk into unparalleled events and exclaim, “Wow! That looks like something Kennedy produced!”
